Kawakubo, the creative force behind Comme des Garçons, is opening a multi-brand, six story, 18,000 square foot store called Dover Street Market New York. Suzy Menkes peers behind the curtain for a preview of this ambition retail space located in the quiet Manhattan neighborhood of Kips Bay. Maja of course is pictured wearing dresses from Comme des Garçons, thereby realizing the editorial’s title, “Fashion’s Purest Vision.”
