Marc Jacobs’s swan song for Louis Vuitton has another verse. The Spring 2014 campaign by Steven Meisel broke in today’s WWD and features Caroline de Maigret amongst a coterie of notable women, all muses for the designer in what is his final collection for the luxury brand. Although shot against a deep blue backdrop in New York, the campaign is not meant to be mournful. “It’s not a melancholic campaign,” explained Frédéric Winckler, Vuitton’s communications and events director to WWD. “It’s really celebrating women who inspire Marc.”
