Season after season biannual publications serve as a fairly accurate barometer for the success of emerging talent as well as the staying power of established faces. The Spring 2014 issue of AnOther provides this very sort of reading by photographer Willy Vanderperre of a quartet of models at Next including Tati Cotliar, Binx, Sabrina Ioffreda, and Ola Rudnicka. As go established names, none ring truer than Tati Cotliar’s. The Argentinian has recently formalized her styling sensibility for an ambitious piece for Dazed Digital starring Magda Laguinge. The trio of Binx, Sabrina, and Ola have been busily notching up prestigious runway appearances, campaigns, and timely editorials.
Binx, hailed as “the future of fashion” by i-D, followed up last season’s closer for Giles with an opener on Monday, has the Spring 2014 Céline campaign by Juergen Teller, and over the weekend came out with an impressive editorial by Mario Sorrenti for T Magazine. Sabrina opened Tom Ford’s Spring 2014 ready-to-wear show in London at the beginning of the week, has the Spring 2014 Prada campaign, and made recent editorial appearances in LOVE and Vogue Paris by Patrick Demarchelier and Mikael Jansson respectively. Ola has been ubiquitous on the runway this season with over 25 appearances to date from Jason Wu to Giles, also has the Spring 2014 Prada campaign, and figures in recent editorials in Vogues Italia and Japan by Steven Meisel and Paolo Roversi respectively.
All this is to say AnOther could not have chosen a more in-form set of models than Tati, Binx, Sabrina, and Ola — the forecast for the coming season looks promising indeed.
