The energy required to simply keep straight in one’s mind the output of prolific artist Pharrell Williams is enough to warrant a lie down on a chaise lounge in that room without a roof. On Monday the collaboration between the newly minted voice coach on The Voice and adidas Originals was announced to great fanfare. As if to stave of even the slightest hint of inertia, a full 24 hours later on the first of April, Pharrell’s latest collaboration with Japanese casual wear giant UNIQLO was made public. Pharrell and UNIQLO UT creative director Nigo have collaborated on an apparel line “i am OTHER,” which is based on Pharrell’s personal philosophy and creative way through life and art. The line boasts 14 T-shirts in different colors and patterns for men and women as well as seven differently designed baseball caps. So long as Pharrell continues to create at this high level, then all rooms might as well be roofless.
