Running in the Spring 2014 issue of i-D is a profile of Vivienne Westwood’s World’s End Collection, which offers pieces from the designer’s vast archives reworked in new fabrics and stocked exclusively at her boutique at 430 Kings Road in London’s Chelsea. Not unlike Westwood’s flagship store, the collection courses with defiance, politics, and sex, all delivered with the requisite cheek making it distinctly British. No leap of imagination is required, then to witness Lily McMenamy riotously giving life to the collection photographed by Dancian with styling by Jo Barker. “Vivienne is a real punk, a real genius and a real woman,” Lily explains. “Now it’s more important than ever to embody the Westwood spirit. Dress like a pirate, shave your head, go commando and start a revolution!”
