On the heels of his participation in the TEDxHackney Radical Beauty program last month, Shaun Ross spoke with i-D about the origins of his talk and emerging organization. Shaun’s inspirational slogan turned advocacy group “In My Skin I Win” grew out spontaneous social media moment. “I was on a plane when a lady sent me a picture of her daughter who has albinism. I thought she was so cute and I wanted to post it but I couldn’t figure out what to say in the caption. I had to come up with something really fast before take off and I wanted to make my own hashtag, something inspirational.” The rest is history.
