Beginning tomorrow in Paris (10 May) and running through 21 June is an exhibition at Le Bon Marché celebrating the dialogue between French artist Vincent Darré and Italian furniture giant Poltrona Frau. To mark the occasion, the May 2014 issue of L’Officiel Paris opens its pages to a story photographed by Olivier Zahm featuring Lily McMenamy. In the editorial Lily stars as Audrey Hepburn, Valérie Lemercier as Diana Vreeland, and Vincent Darré himself as Fred Astaire. Borrowing its name from the 1957 musical comedy starring Hepburn and Astaire, “Funny Face” dives headlong into Paris near the end of the French Fourth Republic. There is plenty of mirth and good cheer to go around, but tempered with the elegance and grace shown by Lily (pictured) wearing a strapless metallic dress by Dior paired with a cotton coat with Swarovski crystals by Rochas. The din of Parisian cafés and salons is never too distant and is made all the closer by the excellent Lily McMenamy.
