The headline in Friday’s WWD says it all, “Smokin’ Suki.” The Suki in question is of course Suki Waterhouse, who attended a dinner Wednesday night held in conjunction with the annual Frieze Art Fair honoring artists at the New Museum. Although the subeditor’s deliberate choice to g-drop (smoking → smokin’) for this alliterative headline conforms to the style observed in WWD’s loosened-collar society pages, it nevertheless speaks volumes about the alluring face of Burberry. Suki’s magnetic presence is undiminished despite the demanding week she has spent in New York attending the Met Gala, hosting the aforementioned dinner with Burberry and W and the New Museum’s director, Lisa Phillips, and spending an all day yesterday in the city’s myriad art museums. And yet, Suki still has more…smokin’ indeed!
