To say trends in fashion are important would be to grossly understate the obvious. Fact is trends are, to borrow from the pantheon of medical metaphors, one part diagnosis, one part prognosis. Or, put another way, emergence and proliferation, which is the very sort of business at hand in the July 2014 issue of Vogue China in which Dasha Gold is photographed by Patrick Demarchelier. What may well read like Chinese is a trend wherein the shoulder features prominently. Enter dresses from Burberry Prorsum and The Row, both of which amply shoulder the trend, one which Dasha interprets to perfection.
