James Watson and Francis Crick discovered the structure of DNA in 1953, which in turn gave rise to genetic sequencing in later decades — science was forever changed. Close your biology textbooks and open the July 2014 issue of Allure and sequencing of a denim sort comes to fore in a story titled “Jean Sequence.” Photographed by Tom Munro, Julia Frauche brings to life two different looks that draw upon the best from this season’s denim. There is a mod flair that runs through both looks, owed in part to the lusciously styled hair by Orlando Pita and cat eye by Gucci Westman. Whichever the sequence, Julia makes both look second nature.
