The Bonneville Salt Flats, better known simply as the Utah Salt Flats, for years has been the host of speed trials, the basis of which are used to determine the absolute land speed record. Immensely flat and without obstruction, the area measuring roughly 40 square miles (104 square kilometers) also makes for a stunning editorial location as is the case for a story featuring Dasha Gold appearing in the August 2014 issue of Harper’s Bazaar en Español. Titled “Odisea,” which is Spanish for Odyssey, a long, eventful journey, the likes of which Homer rapped about in antiquity, this Almudena Guerra-styled story laces up a pair of Stan Smiths and takes off without ever looking back. Draped outerwear from Calvin Klein Collection to Valentino enables plenty for plenty of movement, the likes of which a super fit Dasha provides with aplomb. Although the reigning world record for land speed of 763.035 miles per hour (1227.985 km/h) was achieved back in 1997, Dasha looks no less supersonic.
