Beauty comes in many shades of eyeshadow in the September 2014 issue of Vogue Russia in this 1960s inspired story featuring Esther Heesch photographed by Philip Joy. The story’s title roughly translates as “God created woman,” which sight seen is a sentiment likely to be met with acquiescence from even the most virulent skeptic. Esther for her part is an object of beauty, tranquility personified, the sweet spot in a sea of noise. Although clergy members and evolutionary biologists certainly would disagree on the exact origins of woman, all and sundry could celebrate the woman that is Esther Heesch.
