If François Truffaut’s 1970 feature film L’Enfant sauvage dramatized the travails of a child who spent roughly a dozen years living in the wilds of 18th-century France, then the Camilla Åkrans story by the name of “The Wild Child” featuring Ola Rudnicka in the October 2014 issue of Vogue Japan is an entirely different tale. This is a story about a model in her prime, appearing on magazine cover after cover after cover, ubiquitous as the bush is rugged. Way different as it is, this high fashion editorial does not shy away from big game and duly embraces animal print from leading ready-to-wear collections for Fall 2014. From Saint Laurent to Balmain, all the big cats are on show. In this jungle, however there can be only one ruler, that ruler is Ola Rudnicka.
