Dazed & Confused is no stranger to pushing the bounds of the printed page and its February 2014 issue is no exception. In an editorial titled “Appetite for Destruction,” photographed by Terry Tsiolis featuring Sabrina Ioffreda, magazine tear sheets are quite literally torn and applied to the story’s subject. Exaggerated lips and eyes, replete with folds, creases, and the gloss of magazine stock predominate the portraits to create a dizzying tableau. Mercifully for readers, Sabrina keeps the story rooted in a place more beautiful than the sum of its tear sheets.
