When i-D hails a model as “the future face of fashion” and devotes over 1200 words to its thesis, then said model is almost certainly even odds to live up to the billing. Enter Binx, the 17-year-old model from Hawaii by way of Tennessee and current Céline campaign star, who is celebrated thusly in the Pre-Spring 2014 issue of i-D. Despite being enrolled in high school back in Tennessee, Binx made 27 runway appearances last season and captured a whole lot of hearts and minds in the process. Binx has taken the success in stride, though. “I came from the smallest town, two of the smallest towns, so I’m finding all this crazy, but I’m taking it all in and at this point I’m just thinking: do everything to the full. Go for it.” Binx, the future and beyond…
