MILAN — Fashion Week in the Italian fashion capital reached fiery crescendo at the runway show for Philipp Plein’s women’s Fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection at Piazza Vetra, 7. Designed to resemble a petrol station in the desolate American West, the runway provided a high-octane setting for the German designer’s unabashedly rocker collection. To shift the occasion into even higher gear Plein tapped Rita Ora to perform “Facemelt” before the runway went burst in flames both literally and on a massive video wall. Walking on the runway were Sabrina Ioffreda, Meghan Collison, Tanya K, Binx, and Marta Dyks. The evening ended or rather transitioned in the backstage VIP with Rita sharing a moment with the legendary Carlyne Cerf De Dudzeele, who styled the show, and supermodel and show opener Naomi Campbell. Milan, this was one hell of a season!
