PARIS — Eveningwear at its elegant best held the day late Monday afternoon under the tents at the Tuileries when Elie Saab presented his Fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection called Dark Opulence. The runway, finished in high-gloss black, provided the Lebanese designer the perfect stage for such a richly conceived collection. Mark Rothko is cited as a an artistic point of departure for this collection and throughout was evident in the ombre fabrics used in many of the looks. On the afternoon Thairine García, Hedvig Palm, Klaudia Luczak, Tanya K, and Kate Bogucharskaia all featured looks on the runway to give the collection an even higher gloss.
