Elegance is given a timely update in this month’s issue of Vogue Italia courtesy of a story featuring Lera Tribel photographed by Sølve Sundsbø. Titled  “An Up-To-Date Elegance,” this Patti Wilson-styled story draws exclusively from Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli’s women’s Spring 2014 Valentino ready-to-wear collection. Tacked to the mood board for that collection were pictures of Maria Callas’ Medea, which suggests a great deal about the sort of stately elegance the designers had in mind. Although this story is by no means rote translation of those inspirations, the majesty is undeniable and all the more so with Lera Tribel at the focal point.
