LONDON — The legacy of the late professor Louise Wilson no doubt lives on strong in her students at Saint Martins and designer Christopher Kane is no exception. Kane was inspired to revisit concepts explored during his time studying under Wilson, which involved ropes and cords. These ideas were manifest in his collection for Spring 2015 shown at the Tate Modern on Monday afternoon in a show featuring Georgia Hilmer, Karolin Wolter, and Roxanne. Underneath the sunlight pouring through the towering windows it was difficult not sense the gravity of the moment of one designer’s tribute his mentor.
