MILAN — On a Saturday night during Fashion Week in the Italian Fashion capital there is really only one place to spend an hour start to finish and that is wherever Peter Dundas is showing his latest ready-to-wear collection for Emilio Pucci. The Norwegian designer it so happens once again laid out his runway in the neoclassical Palazzo Serbelloni at Corso Venezia, 16 as he has for several seasons. On that runway featured Binx amongst a cast of models eager to emerge from the claustrophobia-inducing backstage, a miasma of racked looks, professional dressers, photographers and their canopy flashes, all underneath a din of shouted model names and clicking shutters. On the runway the collection for spring was able to flourish at speed in all its carefree and insouciant glory befitting the house bearing Emilio Pucci’s name. There is still another full day to go during Fashion Week in Milan and with Pucci already in the slouchy shoulder bag in fringed suede, serpent, or crocodile, we can all start preparing for an even longer week to come.
