The existence of numbers might be a fertile topic for philosophers, but in a world in which people upload pictures of themselves taken with smartphones to social media, numbers are very real. Digital marketing firm Stylophane announced this week the top 125 most popular fashion media, which alone includes six bloggers represented by Next in the top 20. Leading the list with more than 2.9 million followers is Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad, who edged out Vogue by more than 200 thousand followers. Rounding out the top 20 for Next are Jules Sariñana of Sincerely Jules (#5), Kristina Bazan of Kayture (#8), Danielle Bernstein of We Wore What (#16), Shea Marie of Peace Love Shea (#18), and Rumi Neely of Fashion Toast (#19). Stylophane differentiates between digital and traditional print media for this list and a cursory glance reveals bloggers command the lion’s share of the top rankings. Next has been representing bloggers since 2008 when it launched its division representing Rumi Neely.
