The Steven Klein story in the latest issue of LOVE carries with it a conceit that ought not be missed. “A fantasy play on modern-day female proportions featuring stick-on bums and specially commissioned breasts made by Hollywood prosthetics expert Tinsley Studios,” declares the story’s opening page, jettisoning any pretense of subtlety in a full embrace of the brilliance of styling by Panos Yiapanis. Malgosia Bela enters the story, seated, legs crossed, eyes shut, chin slightly elevated, clutching her “stage” breasts*. The magnitude of exaggeration grows page after page, but is never once betrayed by Malgosia’s effortless serenity. This story ends right where it began with its title “Boobs,” which is a billing thoroughly earned.
