Needless to say the Jamaican music form known as Dancehall has a cultural legacy that dwarfs whatever English popsters Wang Chung brought to bear on the subject in their 1984 single “Dance Hall Days.” The March 2015 issue of ELLE mercifully celebrates the spirit of the former in a story of the same name featuring Melodie Monrose photographed by Liz Collins. Shot in and around Kingston, Jamaica, this Samira Nasr-styled story dives into to vibrant colors and rich textures of Spring 2015. The air is warmer, the nights are more breezy, and all the days of Dancehall belong to Melodie.
