NEW YORK — As foreboding a term as deconstruction might sound to some ears, the action is indispensable to the creative process. Swinging a sledge hammer after all can be fun depending on what is struck. Phillip Lim swung mightily at fashion’s archetypes in the suit, trench, and dress and came away with an impressive collection for Fall / Winter 2015. On the afternoon at Clarkson Square along West Street Avery Tharp, Roxy, Georgia Hilmer, Grace Simmons, Ola Rudnicka, Hedvig Palm, Dani Witt, and Laura Julie all featured on the runway. Deconstructed and beautiful, the tension is could not be more taut or for that matter delightfully rewarding.
