PARIS — Olivier Rousteing’s Balmain Army marched on Thursday afternoon at the Grand Hôtel and amongst others included two of its brightest charges in Binx and Sharam Diniz, who between them presented three looks on the opulently carpeted runway. Rousteing is said to have drawn considerable inspiration from 1970s Paris and the freedom of movement and expression that are associated with that perioed. This translated onto the runway in vibrant shades of mustard, purple, blue, gold, colors that communicate strength and would not afford their wearers anonymity. Nay, that is not a mark to distinguish this Balmain Army.
