NEW YORK — Much of Fashion Week in Gotham has abandoned the upper reaches of Manhattan for downtown runways since full time was called on the Lincoln Center tent city, but the expiration of leasing terms simply afforded Carolina Herrera to double down the uptown stateliness by staging her Spring 2016 runway show along Museum Mile at The Frick Collection. The switch could not have suited the house and its latest collection more. The gowns for spring looked at home amongst the galleries of Old Master paintings and European sculptures. Who needs Lincoln Center anyhow?! On the morning a half dozen models at Next including Thairine García, Blanca Padilla, Anna Cleveland, Anais Mali, Julia Frauche, and Riley Montana featured on the runway for Carolina Herrera.
