NEW YORK — Monday afternoon Phillip Lim quite literally moved earth with a runway show that marks a decade for his label. Liza O opened the show, thereby setting the path for all models to follow on the ambitiously constructed runway replete with earthen sculptures by architect Maya Lin. The mounds of dirt provided an inescapable visual metaphor for the award-winning designer’s tenth anniversary and so with the earth moved, then surely the heavens would soon follow. On the afternoon Grace Simmons, Gaby Loader, Vera Van Erp, and Maja Salamon also featured on the runway.
