LONDON — Bookends are a pair of supports that flank a row of books, provide stability, and ultimately keep a collection upright. Enter Gaby Loader and Olivia Jansing, the pair of whom together bookended the Paul Smith Spring / Summer 2016 runway show by wearing the opening and closing looks respectively late Sunday afternoon at the Serpentine Sackler Gallery in Hyde Park. The tenor of success that was set early in the day at City Hall for the Preen by Thornton Bregazzi show achieved full harmony in this most artful setting. Those invited to the show were greeted outside by an enthralling fountain by Bertrand Lavier comprised a bundle of various garden hoses all gushing at full tilt. Filling out the collection in between the bookends were a trio of models at Next including Liza O, Julia Fleming, and Yana. Sunday had hit stride and would culminate across town at Kings Cross…
