Vogue, the great institution of fashion, has long been the document of record on everything from hemlines to eyeliner. Over the years photographer Patrick Demarchelier has trained his master lens on the latest in beauty trends for the august publication. The October 2015 issue of Vogue in particular delves into blush, which it describes as enjoying “a soft, subtle comeback.” Grace Hartzel, then serves as the designated model for makeup artist Diane Kendal, who makes a literal swipe at the trend with a heavy brushstroke across the cheek. Grace is pictured wearing a dress and earring by Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane.
