The viability of the of the term “natural” in the Anthropocene period has long been suspect, but that has not prevented its deployment in describing everything from granola bars to beauty creams. Still, though the term natural has value not least when it is used in relation to natural beauty Laura Julie in the November 2015 issue of Harper’s Bazaar Germany in a story by photographer Magnus Reed and stylist Caroline Lemble. Titled “Natural Beauty,” the story celebrates leather, fur, and wool in a variety of neutral shades. Muted as the color palette is, the visible spectrum merely serves to accentuate the natural beauty of Laura Julie.
