There is something almost surreal about a series of portraits of Maria Loks running in the latest issue of Russh by photographer Rahel Weiss. Whereas there is nary a melting clock to be seen, an irrational juxtaposition of objects is nevertheless achieved by the inspired set design by Julia Dias, who has fashioned a three-sided surface on which statuesque Maria stands against the horizon. Wearing a J.W.Anderson top and Valentino top (pictured) styled by Bridie Gilbert from the deep closets of The Outnet (this is a promotional editorial, mind), Maria shines against the pastoral landscape. A further three looks captures Maria at full stretch rising to the sky for all to see miles from here… .
