Danish monthly Cover believe it or not is not actually self-referential novelty. Far from it, every edition of Cover is actually published with internal pages. Case in point is the November 2015 issue includes a 10-page story that features none other than Maria Loks photographed by Hörður Ingason. Titled “Silhouette,” this Tereza Ortiz-styled story puts an emphasis on line and proportion that loosely take inspiration from the mid-20th century. To that end, Maria (pictured) opens the story wearing a blouse, bra, skirt, and chain by Louis Vuitton. The short-cropped hair worn by Maria gives this and every look an edge that together makes this story distinctly contemporary no matter how much inspiration is drawn from yesteryear.
