In her first ready-to-wear season Julia Fleming was near ubiquitous and not surprisingly walked on all the right runways from Calvin Klein Collection to Céline, from Versace to Alexander McQueen. The impression Julia made could not have been stronger, which meant it was only a matter of time before her uncanny beauty made its way onto the page. The latest issue of Vogue Japan provides one such opportunity, which Julia seizes with aplomb, in a beauty story by photographer Ben Hassett and makeup artist Violette. Titled “The Miracle of Change,” this 5-page feature makes exceptional use of colorful pigments, the broad spectrum of which would likely send the folks over at Pantone Inc. into unbridled ecstasy. Captivating as those matte shades are, they would be but smudges on a canvas were it not for Julia Fleming’s natural beauty.
