There are over 7 billion people on this planet, the magnitude of which can make even the most earnest pronouncement such as “be yourself” sound risible. Differentiating yourself from the living masses and the whole of human history is a daunting if not impossible task, but that has not stopped Vogue in its January 2016 issue from training its focus on 44 stars-to-watch who do just that including Grace Hartzel and Les Twins. Photographed by Mikael Jansson and styled by Camilla Nickerson, the story titled “Be Yourself” celebrates these notable and emergent musicians, athletes, artists, writers, dancers, and models. Grace is pictured wearing Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane, brothers Larry and Laurent Bourgeois are ever stylish hot on the heels of their performance in Missy Elliott’s “WTF” music video. Be what you like, so long as you be yourself.
