Readers of a certain age might well recall a certain song by The Crusaders when they read the title of this editorial running in the February 2016 issue of Vogue Paris featuring none other than Lineisy Montero. “Street Life,” as the story by photographer Amy Troost and stylist Géraldine Saglio is called, borrows its name from the 1979 studio album title track by the aforementioned jazz funksters, but all but leaves the rest for a distinctly 2016 take on high fashion streetwear. Denim, sneakers, jackets for spring, there is plenty of groove to the story, which is put on an even keel thanks to the black & white photo treatment or for that matter its stunning subject that is Lineisy Montero.
