The wait is over, the Tom Ford Spring 2016 advertising campaign featuring Lucky Blue Smith and Lida Fox is now live for the world today see after WWD earlier today broke the story. Photographed by Nick Knight, the campaign reportedly drew its inspiration from the popular music variety program of the 1970s called Soul Train in which dancers formed a dance line flanked on either side by fellow dancers. “I decided to try something new,” said the designer speaking to WWD. “I wanted to think about how to present a collection in a cinematic way that was designed, from its inception, to be presented online.” The campaign will reach print worldwide in March. This campaign represents a return to Tom Ford for Lucky Blue and Lida, both of whom have appeared previously in advertising for the brand.
