On first sight this latest 10 Magazine story featuring Julia Fleming looks like something straight out of Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner (1982), but its title actually reveals it to be more Roy Orbison than Roy Batty. The title borrows from the opening line of “Penny Arcade” by the late American singer-songwriter, “A light shone in the night somewhere ahead / Blue turned into green, then it was red.” Photographed by Dominick Sheldon and styled by Sophia Neophitou, this beauty story set in, wait for it, a video game arcade. Hair and makeup by Tomi Kono and Susie Sobol respectively re-imagines Julia as a cyberpunk, a role which she realizes with aplomb.
