PARIS — The French capital is the final port of call for the ready-to-wear season, which ostensibly kicks off with the Anthony Vaccarello runway show. The headquarters of Radio France situated along the Seine over in the 16th arrondissement has served as the site for this show in recent seasons and was again thus on a drizzly Tuesday evening. Walking for Anthony Vaccarello were a half dozen models at Next including Binx, Lineisy Montero, Julia Fleming, Abby Bass, Julie Hoomans, and Estella Brons. The collection as ever was sexy, a veritable paean to the feminine form. Seated front row were Caroline de Maigret and Lucky Blue, the latter of whom Vogue’s Nicole Phelps name-checked in her show review as a possible reason behind that extra frisson of energy crackling through Maison de la Radio in an atmosphere rife with speculation about the designer’s next moves. Time will tell. This page has no comment to make in that regard, but will wholly agree that it is good once again be reporting from Paris.
