PARIS — A five minute walk from Vionnet through snarling traffic gripping the 1st arrondissement this time of year led to the Bourse de commerce or the Paris commodities exchange building, site of the H&M Studio Autumn / Winter 2016 runway show. The building itself may no longer accommodate contemporary financial exchanges, but was more than equipped for a media spectacle the sort of which only this Swedish clothier is known. Underneath the frescoed ceilings of the domed hall five models from across the Next network including Anja Rubik, Pat Cleveland, Myla Dalbesio, Anna Cleveland, and Lineisy Montero took to the runway. The diversity of this cast, which including new faces, supermodels, legends, mothers, daughters, and more bespeaks of the global ambitions this clothing giant harbors in the early part of the 21st century.
