Valentino Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli know a thing or two about the ethereal. Season after season the Italian pair have created women’s collections that would not be out of place if they were exclusively worn by forest faeries and sea nymphs. The March 2016 issue of Vogue Italia devotes several of its pages to a Valentino couture story by photographer Paolo Roversi and stylist Robbie Spencer starring amongst others Julie Hoomans (pictured) and Julia Fleming. The portraits call to mind idealized feminine forms of a time long ago, which in the hands of Julie and Julia comes to life immediately and most vividly.
