One hundred forty years ago the French Third Republic was already six full years into a timeline that would stretch all the way into the 20th century. Photographed by Viviane Sassen in Hyères, France, the campaign takes as its backdrop the early modernist house Villa Noailles by architect Robert Mallet-Stevens.
