Temperatures in New York today will reach a high of 87°F (31°C), which could mean only one thing over at T Magazine, viz., a coats story! All joking aside, Julie Hoomans makes this journey into new coats that bring together the best of 1990s tailoring, crisp tailoring at an oversize scale, well worth the price of admission. Photographed by Coco Capitán, the five-page spread plucks Julie from the now steamy streets of Manhattan and places her in the windswept village of Dymchurch in the southeast of England, a locale where coats are likely a good idea if not essential year-round. Julie cuts a sharp figure wearing a Giorgio Armani coat over a Jean Paul Gaultier sweater and Charvet shirt (pictured). All told, this story is one for the future and fortunately Julie is there to provide the coming forecast.
