Coach and New York go way back and have done so ever since its founding 75 years ago. This connection has been emphasized in recent seasons in its advertising campaigns and the Fall 2016 vintage by Steven Meisel is no exception. Shot along the East River waterfront in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, the campaign features a fleet of 1970s era automobiles and amongst others a pair of Next beauties including Caitie Greene and Sandra Schmidt. “Coach is about New York City,” said Coach creative director Stuart Vevers speaking with CR Fashion Book. “The word ‘cool’ as we know it and Coach were both born in the city in 1941. And they’ve both had 75-years of swagger in pop culture ever since.” That swagger is in abundance in this campaign, owed in no small part to the casting of Caitie and Sandra. Here’s to another 75 years of swaggering Coach.
