That we are living in times that would keep Hieronymus Bosch’s pockets on swole makes the “gothic” trend not suprising, but to see it treated with something akin to reverence by those in high fashion is. The Fall / Winter 2016 issue of LOVE takes up the trend in earnest in a story by photographer Patrick Demarchelier and stylist Panos Yiapanis featuring amongst others Liza Ostanina and Odette Pavlova. The former (pictured) appears wearing a chain dress by Loewe, black trench dress by Yohji Yamamoto, and black cape by Salvatore Ferragamo, which is a look that works just as well in the snowy forests of Norway as it does on the page of Katie Grand’s flagship glossy.
