Punk’s not dead! Scottish punkers The Exploited were proclaiming as much as far back as 1981 and 35 years later punk might not so much be dead as it has simply gone into a different stage of its career. The September 2016 issue of W celebrates the attitude of punk in a story photographed by Patrick Demarchelier featuring amongst others Julie Hoomans and Leila Goldkuhl. Styled by Giovanna Battaglia, the story aptly titled “Attitude” opens with a portrait of Julia (pictured) in all here sneering beauty wearing plaid trench by Burberry and a pair of platform heels by Marc Jacobs. Hair and makeup by Ward Stegerhoek and Fulvia Farolfi respectively make good on the promise, nay, threat of the story’s title. So, there, punk is not dead, not dead at all.
