NEW YORK — High fashion has long been a signifier of escape from the toils of every day world, at least it has been for those with the means. Felipe Oliveira Baptista provided an escape portal into a softer, more gentle world with his Lacoste Spring / Sumer 2017 runway show Saturday morning at Spring Studios in Tribeca. Elegantly reimagined bathrobes, tracksuits, trench coats, and otherwise the chic, sporty, 1970s-forever attitude of Lacoste were in high supply throughout the collection for spring. On the morning Julie Hoomans opened and Grace Hartzel closed the show and were joined on the runway by Lia Pavlova, Odette Pavlova, Hedvig Palm, Maria Clara, and Caroline Reagan. Now for that US Open final this afternoon…
