MILAN — Thursday midday, according to this week’s calendario, meant our coverage heads straight for Fendi and where all the Roman luxury a white-on-white runway can possibly bear is to be admired. As ever the nearly endless runway set underneath stylized Roman arches, in all-white , amply provided a suitable canvas for Karl Lagerfeld to paint a delicate and playful tapestry for his Spring 2017 collection. On the afternoon a handful of models from across the Next network featured on the runway including Binx, Selena Forrest, Impy, Lina Hoss, and Marjan Jonkman. Hair stylist Sam McKnight fashioned hair accessories, simple geometric forms rendered with exacting Fendi precision with a dash of insouciance, that were worn by models in the show. The accessories clipped into each model’s hair, but in the case of Lina glue had to be used. The result created a gravity-defying effect that is well at home in the world of Fendi.
