As much as yesterday seems to dominate popular imagination, there is also something to be said for tomorrow. The day after today after all is forever on its way, which makes capturing it something of a feat. The Fall 2016 issue of i-D is equal to the challenge, however which it duly takes up in a story called “This Is Tomorrow” by Alasdair McLellan featuring Selena Forrest. And exactly what does tomorrow look like? To start, there is Chanel (pictured) and other looks for autumn by Marc Jacobs, Prada, and more, many of which are paired with backpacks by Eastpak, as you do when school’s in session. By the time tomorrow arrives it is already today, which is sort of like chasing the horizon, but when published in a glossy magazine, all makes perfect sense.
