With temperatures today in Central Park climbing to a high of 82°F (22°C) on what is 19th of October, there is no telling when sweaters might make their entrance into the landscape of actual autumn fashion. What might not be seen on the streets of Gotham this week or even beyond the current 10-day weather forecast, can be seen in the November 2016 issue of Vogue for what is essentially a sweater survey photographed by Patrick Demarchelier and featuring Grace Hartzel. “Sweater Songs,” as it is appropriately called, puts these knitted garments on center stage no matter what the mercury is reading. Temperatures being what they are, the buoyancy of Grace’s knit sweater and skirt by Alexander McQueen (pictured) surely would be welcome. Keep this issue close and if the weather cools, it might come in handy.
