Figures aside, there is a sexier, more glamorous side of rail travel, the sort imagined in Hitchcock’s North by Northwest (1959) that lends well to any visual treatment, say, meant to advertize clothing for the coming holiday season. Enter H&M Hennes & Mauritz, better known by its shorthand call letters H&M, with its Holiday 2016 advertising campaign featuring amongst others Selena Forrest and Ben Nordberg. Photographed and styled by Mikael Jansson and Ludivine Poiblanc respectively, the campaign takes place on, wait for it, a luxurious passenger carriage, or rather a soundstage in Central London meant to resemble said interior. Selena and Ben for their parts help make the eclectic casting all the more interesting, if not outright elegant. Leave the train spotting to the anoraks, and climb aboard H&M Holiday 2016.
